Batched Documents - Printing, Faxing, Burning

Adding a Document to a Batch

Batching is a quick way to add multiple documents into a batch to be printed or faxed or burned to a cd. It is a batch of documents to be rendered from any patient(s). This is a way to print, fax or burn multiple documents for any patient or multiple patients instead of printing/faxing/burning one individual document at a time.

Batching is specific to your username. It will not show documents that are currently batched by another user. Batching & removing is specific to your logged in username.

There are several ways to get a document into a ‘batch'.

Batching an Opened Document from Detail View

When you are in a specific patient’s chart and find and open the specific document you want to send to a batch, simply click the Batch link in the property/summary for that document.

As soon as you click Batch it will change this word to remove. You can click remove to undo what you just did. Meaning, remove it from the batch. When you click Batch, it automatically puts it into the print/fax/burn batching. You can see this in your worklist summary at the very top of the Enterprise Health screen. It shows you how many items you have batched so far. This Batch summary remains there at the top until you print or fax the batch or remove all documents from the batch.

Continue to work in Enterprise Health or find other documents you need to batch.

Note
Make sure you wait for the BATCH SUMMARY at the top to refresh before batching more documents to the same batch. If you don’t, it will create a new separate batch. Sometimes it may take a few seconds to see it refresh.

Batching a Document from List or Thumb View

When you are in a specific patient’s chart and are looking at documents using the List or Thumb View, simply click the Batch link in the Print options column of the document you wish to batch.

As soon as you click Batch it will change this word to Remove. You can click Remove to undo what you just did. Meaning, remove it from the batch. When you click Batch, it automatically puts it into the print/fax batching. You can see this in your worklist summary at the very top of the Enterprise Health screen. It shows you how many items you have batched so far. This Batch summary remains there at the top until you print or fax or burn the batch or remove all documents from the batch. If you already have batch(es) created, the individual document will be placed with the most recent created batch.

Printing, Faxing, or Burning from a Batch

The worklist summary consists of any outstanding e-signs that need to be completed by you, any outstanding tasks need to be completed by you, or any open batches that you have compiled. This summary always appears at the top of your work screen (if you have anything outstanding to do in your worklist) then you can click the Print or Fax or burn link here from any menu, module, chart, etc. (If the worklist summary does not appear here, then you have no batched documents, no tasks to do and no e-signs to complete).

If you click Remove & Cancel function button, it will remove the entire batch and cancel the print/fax/burn mode. You will no longer have that batch in the system in your worklist. It has been entirely removed and canceled.

If you have any other separate batches created from print chart method, after you print/fax/burn or remove & cancel this batch, it will show your next batch in your worklist summary if you have another that you created separately.

Burning a Batch

When you are ready to burn the documents you batched, simply insert a blank CD into your disk burner and then click the Create Disk button at the bottom of the burn mode screen. Follow the instructions on the screen and it will gather the data and burn the disk.

Click the NEXT button and wait for the process to complete (100%). The disk should eject.

If the window doesn’t give you the option to “Finish”, then close the window with the red X in the upper right corner.

Close any other open windows.

The disk can be read by any PC (computer), as the necessary software is actually included on the disk.

If “autorun” is not set up for the PC (computer), then you can explore the disk, and double click on the MeFilmLt.exe, and follow the directions on the screen.
